LAB is currently holding auditions

Calling all bold, fearless, laugh-out-loud funny actors😂

📅 May 19 & 20 | ⏰ 7 PM both nights |📍 LAB Theater Project

LAB is on the hunt for wickedly funny performers to bring two uproarious productions to life:

🎭 LAB Laughs 2025 – Our fan-favorite annual comedic short festival is EXPANDING to a three-week run! More laughs, more fun, more reasons for audiences to come back again (and again)

🎭 Goddess of the Hunt – LAB’s first-ever outrageously gay farcical romp, packed with over-the-top characters, social media shenanigans, and hilariously, messy blood effects (yes, really!)

Audition Requirements:
Bring your best comedic game! Prepare two contrasting comedic monologues, each under 65 seconds. Go a second longer, and… 🛎️ you’ll be gonged! Make us laugh. Make us giggle. Make us spit out our drinks. We want bold, daring, over-the-top choices that leave us gasping for air
About the Shows
😂 LAB Laughs 2025 | Directed by Jeff Lukas
This annual comedy festival has brought us unforgettable shows like Read the Sign Florida Man, Alexa the Liar, My Darling Tortue, and Full Frontal Transparency. Now, we’re making it bigger and better with a three-week run from July 17 – August 3!
Fun Fact: Jeff Lukas is returning to LAB for the first time since 2018, and we are damn lucky to have him!
💋 Goddess of the Hunt | By Doug Davita | Directed by Owen Robertson
Think HGTV meets Broadway meets a gloriously gay farce! 💄🏡 Charlie has just lost his husband, and his fabulous best friend, Ed, is trying to help him move on. But enter Diana, the powerhouse host of “Goddess of the Hunt,” who decides Charlie is her next design restoration project—documenting the transformation for social media, of course. Percy, her young and sexy assistant, frolics with… well, everyone. And Diana’s estranged, bisexual, wealthy husband Jeff? Yeah, he wants in on the fun too. It all spirals into a hysterical, bloody mess (literally—expect crazy blood effects!)
Roles Available:
•  Ed (50+, any ethnicity) – A Broadway star and Charlie’s best friend, charming but with a sharp tongue
•  Jeff (50+, any ethnicity) – Diana’s estranged bi husband, suave and a bit unpredictable
•  Percy (35, any ethnicity) – Sexy, wild, frolics with everyone
•  Diana (50+, any ethnicity) – A powerful, alluring, snake-oil-selling HGTV goddess
📢 We Can’t Wait to See You!
